After years of living and working in New York City, Jenny moved to Chicago, IL where she lives with her family.”

Meredith Handakas

Executive Recruiter

Meredith Handakas has almost fifteen years of successful experience working with sourcing and executive recruiting. She developed her proficiency as an Executive Recruiter for Bostonian Personnel, for ADS Financial Services Solutions, and for Bryan & Jordan Consulting. Her demonstrated strength is in assisting companies through periods of leadership change and growth.

Ms. Handakas holds undergraduate degrees in business and management from Shepherd University. She spent ten years working for an international printing company. This exposed her to broad business capabilities and provided insights across multiple lines of business. She developed expertise in when and how to best communicate and how to navigate complex relationships to achieve goals. She is especially skilled at following a project through its lifecycle, identifying obstacles, and creating an action plan to overcome those obstacles.

Jim pioneered legal recruitment in the Northeast. When he founded Bostonian in 1978 it was the first company in New England specializing exclusively in the recruitment and placement of attorneys. Bostonian is currently an international attorney recruitment & placement firm.

In addition to the recruitment and placement of individual attorneys, Jim and Bostonian have assisted law firms in growing by adding practice groups and through mergers and acquisitions.

Jim is a founding member and former President of the NALSC (National Association of Legal Search Consultants). He held a seat on its board of directors for ten years and held/chaired a number titles and committees. The NALSC is the only trade association for the attorney placement industry.

Jim is a US Army Veteran Served on the DMZ in Korea.

Jim and his wife of 48 years Barbara live in Marshfield Hills, Massachusetts. They have 4 grown children and 7 grandchildren.

JW Perfetuo

President

After graduating from Quinnipiac University, JW spent 10 years working for NBC, Channel 7 in Boston as a news editor and satellite operator.

JW joined the family business in 2006. JW and his family live on the South Shore. Outside of work, JW coach’s soccer, baseball, basketball and CrossFit.
